Welcome to the Central Alabama Woodcarving Association, Inc. website!

Thanks for stopping by to learn more about us. We are a group of carvers based in the Montgomery, Alabama area who have a passion for the art of wood carving. We are a 501(3)c non-profit organization.

The early method of carving wood required the use of a knife or chisel and mallet to cut the wood to get the desired outcome. We have come a long way since then! The art has grown to include the use of power tools to aid the carving process.

While wood carving is the focus of our club, you will find that carving wood is not the only thing we do! Are you interested yet? You're welcome to stop by one of our meetings to check us out or just to say hello.

We have just had our 30th Woodcarving School and Competition! We appreciate the support from the city of Wetumpka, AL for hosting our school. check back soon to see pictures from the school and competition.

See you soon!

Our Meeting Location Has Changed.

We are meeting Monday, September 14th at the Wetumpka County Extension Service (340 Queen Ann Road - Wetumpka) 6:30 pm.  See you there. Remember to bring your Turkey ornament. We will be finishing the back of it.
