Adze Bowl
Joe Petranka and Mike Tapley will return for bowl chopping using traditional tools of a time gone by.
Hand adzes were used to make dough bowls and other useful articles valued for their functionality and character.
This year’s class will feature layout and chopping of a dough bowl, and time permitting, chopping “through the round” to fashion a Viking bowl which takes on a unique and graceful shape.
Bowl blanks are 45.00 each (red maple and gum). Adzes forged by Petranka and heat treated and sharpened by Tapley are also available for 135.00 each.
